Why choose Paxos?
Paxos is a small, beautiful Greek island covered in olive groves. Its picturesque villages, turquoise sea and traditional Greek hospitality ensure many guests return year after year.
Paxos is located in the Ionian sea, and is just 1 to 2 hours from Corfu Town by boat. It is an island which retains much of its traditional Greek charm. The main port is located in Gaios, which is the largest of the three main villages. Gaios has many shops, bars, tavernas and other facilities. At the opposite end of the island is Lakka, its sheltered harbour making it very popular with the boating fraternity. Between Gaios and Lakka is the pretty little village of Loggos, where Loggos Retreat is located.
Loggos has some excellent tavernas, bars, small shops and two bakeries. From the picturesque quayside, you can hire a boat and spend the day exploring the wonderful coastline or enjoy walking some of the many paths and donkey tracks which cover the island. Loggos Retreat is well placed for a variety of different walks and is close to some of the best beaches on the island.
Paxos is a great place to relax and unwind, but also offers plenty of activities for those feeling a little more adventurous. You can choose from kayaking, yoga, snorkelling, scuba diving and guided walks, to name a few. You can also take a day trip from Paxos to the neighbouring island of Anti-Paxos. We will be happy to arrange any of these activities for you.
